What does it cost to rent?
The aircraft rents at $140/hr dry — you pay for fuel at the pump. There are no club fees, no annual membership, and no minimum hours per month.
Who can rent?
Pilots holding a valid Transport Canada PPL or higher. Minimum 50 hours total time recommended. All renters complete a PA-28 checkout flight before flying solo. No student pilots.
Is the aircraft IFR capable?
Yes. The panel is built around an Aspen EFD-1000 PFD and Garmin GNS-430W WAAS navigator — both certified for IFR flight. The aircraft is suitable for instrument currency flights and IFR training with your own instructor.
Can I fly to the USA?
Yes. The aircraft carries the required registration and equipment for transborder flights. Standard eAPIS filing and CANPASS or CBP procedures apply.
Can I take it overnight?
Yes, overnight and multi-day trips are available subject to scheduling.
What are the currency requirements?
Generally 90 days, depending on pilot experience and recency. We'll confirm requirements at checkout.
What insurance do I need?
Renters are required to carry their own liability insurance or be named on the owner's policy. We'll confirm the arrangement before your first flight.
