FLY C-GNEG

1. Weather Minimums

All flights in C-GNEG must comply with Transport Canada VFR flight rules. For local flights departing CZBA, the following minimums apply:

• Ceiling: 3,000 ft AGL or greater
• Visibility: 5 SM or greater
• No flight into IMC is permitted unless you hold a valid IFR rating and the aircraft is IFR-current
• In-flight weather deterioration: land at the nearest suitable airport immediately
• Thunderstorm avoidance: maintain at least 20 NM lateral separation from active cells

2. Currency Requirements

All renters must maintain the following standards before operating C-GNEG solo:

• Minimum 0.7 hours of flight time in any aircraft in the preceding 60 days
• A flight with a TCCA-licensed flight instructor within the preceding 12 months (annual competency check)
• A valid Transport Canada Private Pilot Licence (or higher) must be held at all times
• Medical certificate must be valid and carried on every flight
• If currency lapses, a checkout flight with an approved instructor is required before solo operations resume

3. Aircraft Care & Airworthiness

Renters are responsible for the aircraft from the time of checkout until return. This includes:

• Completing a full walk-around inspection before every flight
• Verifying the aircraft is airworthy and all required documents are on board (registration, journey log, POH, W&B)
• Checking NOTAMs, weather, and filing a flight plan for any cross-country flight
• Any abnormal sounds, vibrations, warning indications, or equipment malfunctions must be reported immediately via the Snag Report
• Do not fly a snagged aircraft — confirmed serviceable by the owner before the next flight
• No smoking in or around the aircraft at any time
• No food or beverages inside the aircraft

4. Insurance & Damage Liability

C-GNEG is insured under a hull policy maintained by Airegin Technologies Inc. In the event of any damage, incident, or accident:

• The renter assumes full responsibility for the insurance deductible of $500 CAD
• Any damage caused by pilot error, negligence, or policy violation is the renter's sole financial responsibility
• All incidents — regardless of severity — must be reported to the owner immediately by telephone
• TSB-reportable occurrences must be reported to the TSB by the pilot-in-command
• The renter must not admit fault or make statements to third parties regarding liability

5. No-Show & Cancellation Policy

Out of respect for other pilots and the owner, the following cancellation policy applies:

• Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled booking
• Late cancellations without a valid weather or emergency reason will be treated as a no-show
• No-shows may result in suspension of rental privileges
• If cancelling due to weather, notify the owner as soon as practical

6. Fuel Policy

C-GNEG burns 100LL Avgas only. No other fuel type is permitted under any circumstances.

• Return the aircraft with the same fuel level as at departure — top up at destination if necessary
• Fuel receipts must be retained and submitted with your Arrival Report
• Never depart with less fuel than required for the flight plus reserves per CARs 602.88
• Fuel cost is the renter's responsibility and is not included in the hourly rate

7. Parking & Securing

After every flight, the aircraft must be properly secured at CZBA:

• Park in the designated tie-down spot — confirm with the owner if unsure
• Install all three tie-down ropes (both wing roots and tail) using bowline or cleat knots
• Install the pitot tube cover
• Ensure all doors and windows are fully closed and secured
• Complete the Arrival Report within 24 hours of landing

8. Rates & Billing

All flights are billed by Hobbs time at the current published rate. The renter is responsible for recording accurate Hobbs-out and Hobbs-in times on the Arrival Report. Disputes must be raised within 7 days of the flight.

9. General Conduct

Renters are expected to conduct themselves professionally and in accordance with Canadian Aviation Regulations at all times. Any violation of these policies, Transport Canada regulations, or conduct unbecoming of a pilot may result in immediate suspension of rental privileges without refund.
